Repowered a ship last spring and took the running engines and didn’t run for a few years. Oil samples were okay.
RTOs have 20,000 hrs and have been rebuilt. since last may.
Standbys have 5000 hrs. They haven’t been run for 10 years.
Taken out of passenger vessels. Used in Fresh Water
They are stored in shrink wrapped near owner’s shop.
Heat exchanged engines.
Twin Disc MG509 gears , 2.95:1 ratios
Four gears.
One rebulit for spare.
One of is a RTO and a running gears.
Gear output Straight.
